Everything you need to get the most out of Nexus AI
Getting Started
Nexus AI is a Chrome browser extension that lets you analyze, summarize, and interact with any webpage using AI — directly from your browser sidebar.
- Install the extension from the Chrome Web Store
- Click the Nexus AI icon in your toolbar — the sidebar opens
- Start chatting! The AI automatically knows what page you're on
- Optional: Create a free account for more daily requests and conversation history
💡 Tip: You can start using Nexus AI immediately as a guest (5 requests/day) — no signup required.
Right-Click Smart Actions
Select any text on a webpage, right-click, and choose from 9 AI-powered actions — each with sub-options for different styles:

File Upload & Screenshot Paste
📎 File Attachment
Click the 📎 button in the chat input to attach a file. Supported formats:
- Documents: PDF, DOC, DOCX, TXT, RTF, ODT, PPTX
- Spreadsheets: CSV, XLS, XLSX, ODS
- Code: JS, TS, PY, PHP, Java, C, C++, Go, Rust, Swift, Kotlin, Ruby, SQL
- Web: HTML, CSS, JSON, XML, YAML, Markdown
- Images: JPG, PNG, GIF, WebP, BMP, TIFF (analyzed with Gemini Vision)
📋 Paste Screenshot (NEW in v1.2)
Take a screenshot and paste it directly into the chat:
- Take a screenshot (Print Screen, Snipping Tool, or any screenshot tool)
- Click in the Nexus AI chat input
- Press Ctrl + V — the image auto-attaches with a thumbnail preview
- Type your question and send
⚠️ Note: Images are processed using Gemini Vision AI. The AI can extract text, describe visual content, analyze charts, and understand UI elements from screenshots. Files are processed in memory and are not permanently stored.
Platform-Specific Tools
🛒 Amazon / E-commerce Product Analysis
On Amazon product pages, the AI automatically extracts title, price, rating, brand, ASIN, features, and specifications using 25+ targeted selectors. Also works on WooCommerce, Shopify, and generic product pages.
📄 PDF Analysis
When you open a PDF in Chrome, Nexus AI detects it and offers to parse the content. For local PDFs, use the 📎 button to upload. Remote PDFs are fetched and parsed automatically on the server.
📊 Table Extraction
Tables on webpages are automatically extracted using a 3-strategy fallback chain (DOM parsing, HTML injection, content script). The AI can analyze, reformat, or summarize tabular data.
🔍 Google Search
On Google search results pages, the AI synthesizes information from multiple search result snippets into a coherent answer.
Export & Save
Every AI response can be exported or saved:
- Copy — Copy the response to clipboard
- Insert — Paste directly into the active input field on the page
- Replace — Replace selected text on the page with the AI response
- Export as TXT — Download as plain text file
- Export as CSV — Download as spreadsheet (for data/tables)
- Export as PDF — Styled PDF with Nexus AI branding, proper table rendering, and markdown formatting
- Save to Knowledge Base — Store in your project's knowledge base for later reference (requires account)
Guest Mode
You can use Nexus AI without creating an account:
- 5 free requests per day — No signup or credit card needed
- A random anonymous identifier is generated in your browser
- No personal data is collected (no email, no name)
- All features work — sidebar, right-click actions, file upload, screenshot paste
- Conversation history is stored locally in your browser only (not on our servers)
Create a free account to unlock 15 requests/day, server-side conversation history, and session management.

Your web dashboard at https://nexusbrowserai.com/dashboard provides:
- AI Chat: Full-size AI chat with the same features as the extension
- Conversation History: View, search, and continue past conversations
- Usage Stats: Track your daily request usage and remaining quota
- Projects: Organize conversations into projects with knowledge base
- Billing: Manage your subscription, view invoices, upgrade/downgrade plans
- Settings: Update profile, change password, export data, delete account

Privacy & Data
🔒 Your data is safe. Nexus AI processes page content on-demand only. We do NOT monitor your browsing, track your history, or use your data for AI training.
- On-demand only: Data is sent to the AI only when you explicitly request it
- No background monitoring: Zero passive data collection
- No AI training: Your data is never used to train or fine-tune AI models
- Transient processing: Files and page content are processed in memory, not permanently stored
- GDPR compliant: Export or delete all your data from dashboard Settings

Do I need an account to use Nexus AI?
No! You can use Nexus AI immediately as a guest with 5 free requests per day. Create a free account to get 15 requests/day and conversation history.
Which AI model does Nexus AI use?
Nexus AI uses Google Gemini 2.0 Flash — a fast, capable model that handles text analysis, code generation, image understanding, and multilingual content.
Does the extension track my browsing?
No. Nexus AI only processes page content when you explicitly activate it (send a message, use right-click, etc.). We have zero background data collection. See our Privacy Policy for full transparency.
Is my data used to train AI models?
No. Under the Google Gemini API Terms of Service, data submitted through the API is not used to train or improve any AI models — not by us, and not by Google.
Can I use it on any website?
Yes, Nexus AI works on virtually any website. The only exceptions are Chrome internal pages (chrome://) and other extension pages, which Chrome restricts access to.
Can I analyze images and screenshots?
Yes! Click the 📎 button to attach an image, or simply press Ctrl + V to paste a screenshot from your clipboard. The AI uses Gemini Vision to analyze visual content.
Can I cancel my subscription?
Yes, cancel anytime from your billing page. You'll keep access until the end of your billing period. We also offer a 14-day full refund. See our Refund Policy.
Can I delete all my data?
Yes. Go to Dashboard → Settings → "Delete Account" to permanently remove all your data. You can also export your data as JSON before deleting.
